Drawing on 30 years of experience, Dr. Lichte has designed and assessed agricultural and natural resource management programs worldwide. His long list of accomplishments includes establishing an environmental protection agency in Suriname, assisting with railroad privatization in Cameroon, evaluating the impact of USAID agricultural and natural resource programs in Senegal and Niger, designing protected areas and waste management systems in Yemen, designing UNDP's Drought and Desertification Control program for northern Nigeria; and assessing the natural resource situation and key natural resource management issues in Zambia. Fluent in French, he has a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Michigan State University and a B.A. in international relations from the University of Wisconsin.
