An environmental management specialist, Mr. Perine has spent the past 15 years designing and implementing environmental impact assessments, formulating environmental, natural resources and water resources policy, and overseeing the development of environmentally sustainable tourism products and services worldwide. He has designed, implemented and assessed infrastructure projects including solid waste management facilities, industrial estates, irrigation systems, and roads. A Director at Chemonics International, Mr. Perine provides oversight and technical input for the Egypt LIFE Red Sea Project, focused on tourism development, conservation management, and community development, and the Jordan Tourism Development Project (Siyaha). Proficient in French and Bengali, Mr. Perine graduated from the University of Virginia with an M.A. in environmental planning and a B.A. in economics.
