Mr. Nielsen is an expert in groundwater and surface water investigations, monitoring system design, hydrogeologic flow analyses, and groundwater computer modeling. He has conducted determination of high and ordinary water line elevations, identified wetland limits, conducted surface water studies, and designed and supervised the installation of groundwater monitoring systems. He has also performed setup, calibration, and run simulations using numerical groundwater models and various commercial pre- and post- processors. Mr. Nielsen conducted assembly of various models including a shallow alluvial aquifer simulation, an alluvial aquifer with transient river conditions, and a shallow alluvial system with pumping and barrier wall.
