A senior economist and international development specialist with more than 30 years experience in strategic planning, policy and program design, and implementation of micro-enterprise, micro-sector and business development programs. As Chemonics’ chief of party for the Peru Poverty Reduction and Alleviation project, managed business promotion centers in 10 economic corridors in Peru, identifying market opportunities for Peru’s poorer producers, and providing institutional development activities to make the resultant businesses and jobs sustainable. Also served as chief of party for Chemonics’ Technical Assistance for Policy Reform project in Cairo, Egypt, providing technical assistance to the Government of Egypt on economic policy reform. Currently serves as a senior manager in Chemonics’ Latin America and Caribbean department, advising on strategic planning, monitoring and economic policy reform issues. Has worked in more than 40 countries. Speaks fluent Spanish and proficient French.
