Vadim Diukanov has over 15 years of project management and team coordination experience. Dr. Diukanov was appointed as the Capacity Building Program Manager for the USEPA-Counterpart Cooperative Agreement in 2002, and has since successfully coordinated and implemented the components of the program, including environmental finance and risk assessment training, to build the capacity of Ukraine’s Ministry of Environment. He is the author of several publications on interdisciplinary environmental policy matters, including scholarly articles and reports for government agencies (Danish Environmental Protection Agency), international organizations (World Bank, USSD, and Helio International), newspapers, and independent research institutions (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik). Dr. Diukanov has participated in and authored reports for several international forums on climate change and sustainable development, including Rio+5 Forum (March 1997), Netherlands-Ukraine Initiative for Sustainable Development (January 2002), and the 5th International Conference on Ethics and Environmental Policy in Kyiv (April 2003).
